A friend of Josh Tetrick, founder of Hampton Creek Foods, told him about this issues with eggs, like the high cholesterol and the bad living conditions of chickens. Furthermore he told about the environmental impact of big agriculture. Because of our fast-growing world population and the consequently growing need for proteins, the world would need a substitute for eggs.

If you visit Edinbugh, you need to try the David Bann licensed vegetarian restaurant.

Probably, these is Edinburgh’s vegetarian’s best. What we specifically liked about David Bann’s is the surprising and very complete menu, with a lot of non-traditional vegetarian options. On top of that, you will find David Bann’s restaurant downtown, which makes it the perfect spot to relax.

Welcome to The Next Big 5. "Tales about everyday animals."

There are billions of everyday animals. But most of us haven’t seen all of them in real live yet: the everyday sheep, cows, chickens, pigs and salmon.

They aren’t the Big 5. Nor are they the European Big 5. I believe they are The Next Big 5. They should be for sure. This project is all about tales of everyday animals. Animals we never see but live among us, in numbers we even can’t imagine.

Those heroes. Everyone has at least a few. The ones who know me, know mine is Paul Smith. Because I believe his story. And because he and his team make fantastic things. And because I’m a man, and he – happy me – focuses on men.

Leaving school at age 15, he’s not the academic fashion designer (‘designer’ being a word he wanted to associate with only a late stage of his career – a remarkable fact about his brand as such). Yesterday I saw

We blijven nog even in Stockholm hangen.

Turkaffe / Hiking Coffee

24 December 2011

Turkaffe (or hiking coffee) is one of the oldest Norwegian coffee traditions. Prepared and drunk outside, as part of a hike (some see it as an ritualized part of any hiking experience).

It’s all about simplicity with this brewing method (historically one of the most popular brewing methods, even used at Norwegian homes). No special equipment is needed, apart from a kettle. A natural full-bodied coffee is the one you should choose, as the best match for Turkaffee.

More "City Riding"! That's my 2012 plan. I would be exaggerating calling it a quest, but still: looking out for that one special bike that fits me has begun. On a limited budget, though.

I only recently discovered how fun driving a bike can be. No kidding :) In NYC, seven days in a row. Since then we discover every city by bike. Nothing as fun as biking from place to place, from CoffeeSpot to CoffeeSpot. RAPHA RIDES OSLO FILM. From now on I’ll start discovering my own town as well.

DRIFT Eyewear is a Chicago based company founded with the intent to push the eyewear industry to a new level through technological innovation and ecological consciousness. The materials used to craft Drift products are carefully chosen bearing the environment in mind (fair-source suppliers, FSC woods, zero VOC adhesives and coatings, organic fabrics,...). Drift claimed to have found the fusion between nostalgic style and new-age expression in eyewear, and I agree with them.

It's likely you've seen Anna Garfoths artwork in a magazine's hotlist lately, if not: Anna is a graphic designer that inspires me and this is why:

Anna uses her background in graphic design, illustrator and typography into 'green lettering' using moss; 'edible posters' using cookie dough, and 'typographic trash' using what she finds in her bin.

Her artwork is smart and accessible, and has been used for public events and community projects. Can't wait to see her work popping up in the Belgian streets!
